SONIA GUAJAJARA is an environmental and indigenous activist, and the executive coordinator of Brazil’s indigenous movement, Articulação dos Povos Indígenas do Brasil, as well as the former vice-presidential candidate of Brazil’s Socialism and Liberty Party. Guajajara is a leading voice advocating the protection of the Amazon rainforest and indigenous land rights against president Bolsonaro’s plans to open up reservations to mining and commercial farming.
